Is your U.S. based church planning a trip to visit one of our already established Global Outreach missionaries overseas? Do you or your church need a little help curating the trip to meet the logistical needs of your team? Then let Global Outreach help you, as a church Short-Term Trip Leader, build a trip opportunity here in Service Reef that you can share with your team members! 


Steps to Building Your Trip:
1. Team Leader works with GO Short-term Mobilization Coordinator - Rebekah Boco; [email protected] 
2. Fill out Contigo form with trip information: www.cognitoforms.com/Goiforms/ChurchMissionTripInformation
3. Team members will then receive log-in to Service Reef
4. Team members work through assigned tasks
 

Tasks Assigned to Team Members:
1. Fill out initial application for GOI or hosting church
2. Upload Passports
3. Pay registration fee ($60/person)
4. Receive Fund Number to Fundraise if needed 
5. Purchase Flight Tickets and Insurance through our travel agent or on your own
6. Complete Reading and Training assigned by leader
7. Attend all team meetings 


Fundraising for Your Team:
1. Funds MUST be in account in order to purchase flight tickets or insurance through High Point, GOI's travel agency
2. Donations can be paid online or check
 - Checks MUST include: individuals name & fund number in check memo and sent to Home Office. (Any online payments accrue a 3% processing fee).
3. Team members can create a fundraising page and share trip information through Service Reef on social media platforms.
 

Flights and Insurance for Your Team:
1. Flights and Insurance can be purchased through High Point (GOI’s Preferred Travel Agent).
NOTE: There MUST be sufficient funds in account to pay for tickets and insurance.
2. If NOT purchasing through High Point, team or individual can request reimbursement from fund account via GO Finance Department.
3. If NOT purchasing insurance through High Point, it can be purchased separately.


Trainings and Resources for Your Team:
1. Team Leaders are encouraged to meet with team members prior to trip.
2. STM Resources are available and can be tasked in Service Reef for team members.
3. Team leaders can add resources to their trip opportunity.

Requirements

Prerequisites

  1. Passports required for all team members
  2. All funds for trip must be raised prior to purchasing flights or insurance (if using our travel partner)

Responsibilities

  1. Team Leader is responsible for team members and all trip tasks assigned

Restrictions

  1. Trips must be planned 30 days in advance to departure dates
